QIS pilot – seeking your views!

Victoria and I have added a number of posts about the progress of the QIS pilot.  As you know, the pilot is currently underway.  6 pilotees are carrying out self assessment exercises on some of the 7 impact measures.  MGS and consultants Tim Dent and Emma King will then verify this evidence using a variety of methods.

The pilot will provide robust informationn which will help us develop the QIS further.  There are a number of crucial questions such as alignment with existing frameworks which will be resolved with pilot work.  I thought it would be useful to gauge opinion so far on QIS as part of the consultation process.  A crucial part of the development of QIS will be discussion and debate.  It is not too early to start that process!

I would find it really useful to seek responses on the following questions;

What do you think of the self assessment approach?

What can QIS bring to the museum sector in Scotland?

What can MGS do to publicise the QIS pilot better?

It would be really helpful to hear your views.  At the end of the day, the more we hear your views, the more we can build them into the QIS development.  If you want to know more about the QIS and QIS pilot, please get in touch with me.
