A Nigerian Evening of Fun

On 23rd September staff and friends were treated to a fabulous night of fun, a talk on the social history of Nigeria, food-tasting, dancing, a fashion show, fundraising and raffle draw in aid of Sickle Cell Foundation, Nigeria, organised by our very own Loretta Mordi.
The night began with Loretta giving a presentation on the history of Nigeria, followed by dancing from the Museums Galleries Scotland dance group, (I was part of that group and Loretta taught us well!) We then went on to the food tasting and again Loretta had excelled. There were many different dishes to choose from, all of them delicious and luckily there was enough to be able to go back for seconds!
A fashion show then followed with Loretta and friends showing us many different fabrics and what they were used for. They then dressed some of the guests in head-gear and costumes which looked amazing.
There was more dancing with a raffle ending the evening.
Loretta put in a tremendous effort to make the night one to remember and by the reaction from everyone who attended, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will remember the night with a smile.
