I was at a meeting the other day where one of the other attendees presented the following video clip. It’s part of Beauty Matters, some work which was done by CABE (the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment). The film-makers went to Sheffield and asked various people for their thoughts on beauty. The result is proof that by asking ordinary people for their opinons you can get some amazing insights. It’s a really interesting look at what people view as beautiful, and how having beautiful things around them makes them feel. Watching the film made me think of the many ways that people find beauty in museums. I thought those of you who follow the MGS Blog would find this interesting too.
