AGM 2010 – Save the Date

It’s only 16 sleeps until Christmas but more importantly only 53 sleeps until the MGS AGM which will be held at the Albert Halls, Stirling on Monday 8 February 2010, followed by tours of the Stirling Smith Art Gallery & Museum.  All this means 53 restless nights for me as I have to lead on organising the day’s events.

Since my first AGM I have had recurring nightmares about things that could go wrong on the day; in 2005 I dreamt  the buses taking us to the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford broke down, in 2006 The Tall Ship in Glasgow sunk and 2007 saw dreams of the membership walking out in disgust at the sight of our new purple logo.  By St Andrews 2008 I decided it was easier not to sleep!  In fact 2008 turned out to be our “best AGM yet” according to several members who attended and it definitely had the best attendance to date.

Plans for Stirling 2010 are in development and further information can be found on our website including details of vacancies on the Board of Directors.  If you have any questions about our AGM please do not hestitate to contact me on 0131 550 4122 / emmad@museumsgalleriesscotland.org.uk
